Mt. Hood: A Getaway That Healed Our Hearts

Mt. Hood: A Getaway That Healed Our Hearts

It all started with a group text and a shared yearning to enjoy the magnificent natural scenery together. And just like that, we were off to Mt. Hood. This wasn’t just another regular weekend getaway, but more like an adventure in search of Oregon’s wild beauty, with its trails and cozy campfire nights.

Hiking at Crawford Oaks Trailhead

Our adventure began with a hike on the Crawford Oaks Trail. The fresh air and stunning scenery made the trip quite enjoyable. Following the winding paths, we were able to appreciate the soaring trees, expansive hills, and the tranquil melodies of the natural world.

Cozy Campfire at the Cabin

After a long day of hiking, we returned to our cabin, where a warm and inviting campfire awaited us. People huddled together, got dinner ready, and told each other about their daily lives. The crackling fire and the comforting presence of my loved ones made for an unforgettable evening filled with warmth and connection.

And I also met a very cute dog there; it was so clingy, as if we were long-time acquaintances.

A Visit to Stave & Stone Winery

To wrap up our trip, we spent an afternoon at Stave & Stone Winery, indulging in delicious wine and soaking in the serene vineyard views. We sampled a variety of wines, each sip adding to the relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Sitting with my wife and friends, savoring the moment, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this wonderful experience.

Cherishing the Moments

Every trip must eventually come to an end, and I didn’t want to say goodbye to this place at all. Mount Hood gave us more than just beautiful memories – it reminded us to slow down and immerse ourselves in the joy of the present moment. We returned home a little tired, a little sun-kissed and with a healed heart.
